Graeme Stevenson is a Murwillumbah based visual artist and television producer who has lived and worked in many diverse, far-flung locations in pursuit of his art. Graeme’s background has been in painting the natural world, and wild creatures are his particular love. He has worked and successfully exhibited in locations including Africa, Indonesia, Japan, Europe, U.S.A., Mexico, and the Middle East. In 1988 he was commissioned to produce all of the paintings for the book The Atlas of Parrots, one of the largest editions of its size in the world. Eventually Stevenson decided to turn his imagination and his art in a new direction.
Graeme Stevenson’s work hangs in galleries and private collections throughout the world, and has been widely published in the form of limited edition prints.

Graeme is also an artist of philosophical and whimsical bent, as the original works currently on show at Hillier and Skuse Gallery show. The allegorical and symbolic references in Graeme’s work point to his deep interest in conservation and social issues.
Graeme is also well known as the producer and presenter of the television show, “Put Some Colour in Your Life”, which promotes original art through interviewing artists at work in their own studios. The show, which started in Australia has now spread its wings to New Zealand and America.
