ABOUT THIS ARTWORK
I love painting the human form, especially in oil. Willem de Kooning is reputed as saying “Flesh is the reason oil paint was invented”. It can be used to render such mood, especially when used in semi-monotone. Yes, it’s nudity but painted nudity that is non-sexual, reflective, and hopefully sensitive.
