ABOUT THIS ARTWORK
I love this pose and have used it a couple of times (thank you Charlotte). A prism turns a ray of white light into the multiple colours of the spectrum, and the female gender gives birth to the continuance of the species. The painting euphemistically images the ‘prism of gender’ theories and the postulation that there is more than the pink and blue binary syndrome.
