Contragulations to Otto Schmidinger for his inclusion as a finalist in the prestigious Glover Prize, an acquisitive Tasmanian landscape prize with some very impressive prize money. There are so many fabulous landscape artists working in Tasmania that it’s not easy for a big-islander to get into the finals, but I’m sure you will all agree that Otto’s work here is absolutely stunning and well deserves it’s place. Go Otto! We have our fingers crossed for you.
Otto Schmidinger’s show, which you can see at the gallery until the end of December, features some very special large works suited to be the centrepiece of a home or office, but also a few little gems at very reasonable prices. Paintings like this one, that perfectly captures the sunset skyline of Surfers from Burleigh Point, would enliven a corner, or make a great gift. If you’d like to reserve it, send me a message.
