You Don’t Know What You’ve Got Till It’s Gone

$109.99$219.99

You Don’t Know What You’ve Got Till It’s Gone is an authentic reproduction of the original artwork.

ABOUT THIS ARTWORK
This futuristic landscape reimagines the sentiment from Joni Mitchell’s song “Big Yellow Taxi” in the context of climate change instead of chemical pollution and urban sprawl, though we never really fixed those problems. It projects a world where, because of drought, forest fire, rising seas, overpopulation, etc., the only safe place for the trees is in a tree museum. On an optimistic note, let’s hope our leaders and bureaucrats will turn things around before it gets to such a farcical situation, but on the signs to date and the faith I have in our pollies, I’m kinda glad I won’t be around in 50 years time to see it. The painting was recently awarded the prestigious d’Arcy Doyle Landscape Prize.
